Users of (Cintron, Revised), LLC services are subject to acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). By accessing, using, or obtaining any content, products, or services through our offices or through our website, you, the purchaser and/or scholar (“Client” and “Scholar” and “you/your”) agree to be bound by these terms.
Please read the terms before using our services. If there is any part of these terms and conditions you do not agree with, please do not use the services of (Cintron, Revised), LLC.
No alterations to these terms and conditions may be made by anyone other than Alicia Cintron, PhD, Founder of (Cintron, Revised), LLC.
Services
(Cintron, Revised), LLC provides brand and communication coaching for qualified academics, researchers, and scholars. Personalized services provided by (Cintron, Revised), LLC include one-on-one sessions, workshops, consultations, seminars, and speaking engagements that cover the following topics:
Mindset work
Trajectory thinking
Goal setting
Strategic communication
Personal branding
Media training (i.e., public writing, interviewing, pitching, relationship management)
Measuring impact
Services are provided in the form of live one-on-one and group video sessions, in-person group sessions, shared documents, iterative feedback, and/or direct communication during the terms of the contract.

(Cintron, Revised), LLC also provides the following options for Group Services:
In-person Workshops
- Research-based workshop developed for departments, research labs, research institutes, etc. interested in promoting and supporting its scholars and students on their public scholarship journey
- Custom-designed workshop based on the needs of the audience and discipline
- Thirty (30) minute post-workshop private sessions for each attendee for editorial feedback on individual document/output
Online workshops
- Research-based workshop developed for individual scholars interested in launching or further developing skills to become a public scholar
- Limited to a small group of scholars, academics, and researchers of all disciplines
- Attendees are vetted through an application process
- Workshops are limited to two (2) live consecutive hours
- Thirty (30) minute post-workshop private sessions for each attendee for editorial feedback on individual document/output
Consultations
- Assessment of current culture, outward research, and outreach practices in relation to public scholarship
- Strategies and recommendations for how to move forward
Seminars
- Develop and lead a research-based lecture related to public scholarship in a classroom setting
- Custom-designed based on the needs of the audience and discipline
Conference presentation and related speaking engagements
- Develop and lead a research-based presentation related to public scholarship in a conference setting
- Custom-designed based on the needs of the audience and discipline
Documents/outputs are defined by the client and may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- A guest blog
- A news article
- An op-ed
- A letter to the editor
- Multimedia clip for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or similar sites
- Development of social media profile such as Twitter, LinkedIn, or similar sites
- Development of personal professional newsletter such as Medium, Substack, WordPress, or similar sites
- Launching a podcast
- Preparing for a news media interview (audio or video)
The success of a document/output is dependent on the completion, not on its acceptance to a journalistic outlet or something similar.
Acceptance of services offered. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by agents of (Cintron, Revised), LLC, the client shall request Individual Services by completing an initial Discovery Call and/or Follow Up call, which shall include:
- An overview of the services provided by (Cintron, Revised), LLC,
- An affirming written or spoken statement requesting the services provided by (Cintron, Revised), LLC
Clients requesting and accepting Group Services (excluding online workshops) shall include:
- Submission of a request for proposal form
- An affirming written or spoken statement approving the proposal and its outlined services provided by (Cintron, Revised), LLC
Both the Client and (Cintron, Revised), LLC must agree to the terms outlined in the Services Contract, to include the services provided, responsibilities of each party (Client and Founder), timeline with a specified end date, and a fee schedule. Services will commence upon receipt of initial deposit fee. By agreeing to the Services Contract, the client agrees to and is bound by these Terms and Conditions.
For the avoidance of doubt, (Cintron, Revised), LLC will not have agreed to (or be deemed to have agreed to) perform the Services specified in the Discovery Call, Follow Up call, Proposal, or Services Contract or be liable to the client in any way until (Cintron, Revised), LLC has confirmed in writing they will perform the Services and has confirmed the deadline.
(Cintron, Revised), LLC responsibilities. (Cintron, Revised), LLC will perform those services as outlined above and within the agreed upon Services Contract. In providing the Services, (Cintron, Revised), LLC will:
- Guide and personalized structured workshops and sessions that focus on the Client’s needs, goals, outcomes, and skill set,
- Rely on research-based approaches and contemporary practices to inform workshops, sessions and coaching,
- Provide high quality service,
- Hold the Client accountable for their established goals and outcomes, including reminders and follow-up communication (with the exception of Seminars and Conference Presentations),
- Support the Client in their ultimate goal until completion (with the exception of Seminars, Consultations, Conference Presentations), and
- Perform the Services in a proper and professional manner with due skill and care by reference to industry standards and practices.
Client responsibilities. The client is solely responsible and liable for:
- Making full payment of Fees in accordance with the Service Contract. If the client’s university agrees to make payment in relation to the Client’s Service request but fails to do so, the client is then responsible for making full payment;
- Ensuring all provided details and relevant information, including contact information, is provided in the pre-session questionnaire are correct and best representative of the Client and their goals;
- Complete all activities and required pre-work in advance of scheduled sessions;
- Complete stated goal/outcome within the parameters of the Service Contract.
Service rates and payment schedule
Payment Schedule. In consideration for (Cintron, Revised), LLC agreeing to and delivering the Individual Services to the client, the client must pay a deposit specified in the Services Contract or as otherwise accepted by (Cintron, Revised), LLC. Fees include a 40% deposit based on the services rendered, and a final payment prior to the final scheduled session.
Group Services including workshops, consultations, conference presentations, and seminars require full payment in advance of the scheduled session(s). Payment is due within seven (7) days of signing the Services Contract or at least twenty-eight (28) days in advance of the scheduled session (whichever is sooner). Additionally, Group Services may also include direct and related travel expenses including travel to and from the location, per diem, ground transportation, and accommodations. If (Cintron, Revised), LLC is responsible for booking travel, related expenses are expected to be reimbursed within seven (7) days of the session.
The fees must be paid to (Cintron, Revised), LLC within seven (7) days of signing the Services Contract, and prior to the final scheduled session. (Cintron, Revised), LLC will be under no obligation to commence the Services until the deposit is received.
Third Party Payment. (Cintron, Revised), LLC may agree with the client to accept payment of the Fee from a third party (e.g., institution of employment). The third party must pay the Fee within thirty (30) days of receiving an invoice from (Cintron, Revised), LLC.
Extension. (Cintron, Revised), LLC reserves the right to propose to the client the deadline by which the Services are to be performed. (Cintron, Revised), LLC will impose an Extension Fee if the client requests a deadline that is longer than what was agreed upon in the initial Services Contract. The Extension fee will be based on the number of additional weeks added to the deadline.
Late Payment Fee. In the event the Fees are not paid as outlined above, a 10% penalty fee will be applied to invoices paid more than fourteen (14) days late unless another arrangement has been agreed to prior between (Cintron, Revised), LLC and the Client. (Cintron, Revised), LLC will issue a reminder for the invoice, including a reminder of the penalty fee at a minimum of two (2) days before the invoice is due.
Cancellation of Services
By (Cintron, Revised), LLC. Prior to agreeing to provide the Services, (Cintron, Revised), LLC may refuse to accept the Client and decline to provide the Services contained therein for any reason in its absolute discretion. In the event that (Cintron, Revised), LLC refuses to accept the Client in accordance with this clause, (Cintron, Revised), LLC shall:
- Notify the client in writing as soon as reasonably practical; and
- Refund to the client any fee paid by the client within two (2) business days of notifying the client that the Client has been rejected.
Additionally, (Cintron, Revised), LLC reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time if (Cintron, Revised), LLC finds the client’s work to be offensive or objectionable; suspects the client’s work to lacks academic integrity; or if the Client misrepresented themselves or their academic work. No refunds will be given in this circumstance.
By Client. The Client may cancel their services at any point. The Deposit (less the service fees) will only be refunded prior to the first scheduled session. No refunds will be made after the first session is completed.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content and advice provided belongs exclusively to (Cintron, Revised), LLC. Redistribution of materials and advice is strictly prohibited.
Limited Liability
(Cintron, Revised), LLC endeavors to help every client achieve their immediate and long-term goals toward public scholarship. Due to the nature of the industry and output, (Cintron, Revised), LLC does not warrant that the Services provided will result in or achieve:
- Acceptance as a form of support for tenure and promotion from the Client’s institution,
- Securing a media interview,
- Immediate and overnight public scholar success, as defined by industry standards,
- Acceptance for publication;
- Funding of a grant application, or
- Any other similarly measured result out of direct control of (Cintron, Revised), LLC.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, (Cintron, Revised), LLC liability to the client is limited to resupply of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- (Cintron, Revised), LLC excludes all conditions, warranties, guarantees or representations (expressed or implied) in relation to the Services; and
- (Cintron, Revised), LLC is not responsible to the client or to any other person for any loss (including consequential loss), damage or injury, caused by, resulting from or in any way connected with the Services, howsoever caused, including due to (Cintron, Revised), LLC negligence, breach of contract, breach of any law, in equity, or under any indemnity.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maximum amount recoverable by the client from (Cintron, Revised), LLC under or in connection with the Services is limited to the Fees paid by the client to (Cintron, Revised), LLC.
